Why everyone keeps coming back.

Located in the bustling Lakeside Plaza Shopping Center in Omaha, Dairy Queen Grill & Chill stands out as a beloved fast food and ice cream destination that perfectly balances crave-worthy comfort food with indulgent frozen treats. This welcoming establishment invites guests to experience a delightful combination of classic American fast food favorites alongside their iconic ice cream creations in a casual, family-friendly atmosphere.

At Dairy Queen Grill & Chill, the menu is a celebration of flavors that satisfy both savory and sweet cravings. Their famous Blizzard® Treats are a must-try, blending creamy DQ® vanilla soft serve with generous mix-ins that elevate each spoonful into a luscious experience. The Butterfinger® Blizzard® mixes crunchy Butterfinger candy pieces into velvety ice cream, delivering a perfect balance of sweetness and crunch. For chocolate lovers, the Choco Brownie Extreme Blizzard® features chewy brownie pieces, chocolate chunks, and cocoa fudge that create a rich, indulgent treat. Meanwhile, the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Blizzard® offers a nostalgic pinch of cookie dough bits swirled with a decadent fudge ribbon, melting delightfully on the tongue.

For those craving an energizing pick-me-up, the coffee-inspired drinks like the Caramel MooLatté® and the Mocha MooLatté® blend freshly brewed coffee, creamy DQ® vanilla soft serve, and silky caramel or fudge, crowned with whipped topping and a drizzle, delivering a refreshingly smooth twist on classic café beverages. If a fruity, icy refreshment is more your speed, the Misty® Slush offers vibrant flavors like Cherry, Grape, and Blue Raspberry that are both cooling and invigorating.

Complementing these sweet sensations, Dairy Queen Grill & Chill also serves up hot, crispy sides that are perfect for sharing or savoring solo. Whether it’s the golden Onion Rings, irresistibly crisp Fries, or the melty, fried-to-perfection Cheese Curds, each bite is a textural delight. Don’t miss the Soft Pretzel Sticks with Zesty Queso, which provide a satisfying savory contrast with their salty crust and warm, cheesy dip.

The dining atmosphere here reflects the inclusive and upbeat spirit of the staff, who are frequently praised for their warm and attentive service. Customers like Kirsten Gallagher have noted the great energy and customer care from team members such as Zach, making every visit feel personalized and inviting. In moments when the location is bustling, the staff's friendly demeanor does not falter—Victoria Veltkamp shared how a kind employee attentively managed her peanut allergy and brightened her visit with genuine conversation. This dedication to service adds an unmistakable layer of comfort and goodwill, evidencing that Dairy Queen Grill & Chill is more than just a place to eat—it's a community spot where kindness is served alongside every order.

If you’re passing through Omaha or looking for a dependable go-to for satisfying fast food and sweet treats, Dairy Queen Grill & Chill at Lakeside Hills Plaza hits every mark. From the joyful melodies of kids enjoying their Blizzard® to the cozy seating areas for a quick bite, this location consistently delivers on the promise of fun, flavor, and friendly service—all wrapped up in a clean and inviting setting.

The place was super busy at 8:20, close to closing time. We went inside to get some ice cream. The guy at the counter was crazy busy but was still very respectful and kind to us. I have a peanut allergy and he personally made my ice cream to keep me safe, and happily spoke to us the whole time. It wasnt perfect in many ways, but the man's attitude made it a delightful experience.

I've been into this location about once a month for the last four months. Each time the drive thru was busy with hardly any customers inside. The young kids working were extremely busy trying to navigate though not only the lack of staff, but the lack of patience of the customers who were placing large orders through the drive thru then expecting the food to be ready the minute they pulled up to the window. The staff was very helpful and patient with my youngest who insisted on giving his own order. People need to remember everywhere is short staffed and these kids are out here working. Orders get messed up at every establishment, lets remember to take a step back, look at the big picture and give grace...pick and choose your battles.

It's a Dairy Queen! I have never eaten anything but ice cream at any Dairy Queen and I don't eat at these types of places often in general - but this location lives up to what I expect from a big name ice cream store. My Oreo brownie sundae was delicious & the staff was courteous and did their jobs correctly. Store was clean & had a few tables to sit at and enjoy a little down time! Can't complain.

The young man who took my order was ever so friendly. When I got to the pick up window the young man there greeted me with a wide smile and gave my pup a pup cup. Love this DQ.

Had a small online order and the lady working the window offered us a drink while we wait which was really nice of her. And a different worker gave us our food and made our sides a large because of our wait. We didn’t wait longer than 3 minutes. Service was incredible and they went above and beyond every interaction at my visit

We just got the cotton candy blizzard was very good & turtle pecan blizzard w hot fudge instead of the dipped cone chocolate, which was also very good.. if you like the hard chocolate pieces w your turtle sundaes or blizzard just order like it is. I like the hot fudge I get more chocolate flavor and not crunching on hard chocolate w every bite. Both are good just a preference thing.
